Upon your arrival in Cairo, our tour guide will warmly welcome you. The first destination will be the Pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinos), some of the oldest and most iconic structures built by humanity.
These remarkable pyramids were constructed between 2620 and 2500 B.C. during the 4th Dynasty on the western side of the Nile Valley. They are the only surviving wonders of the ancient world. The great structures are protected by the renowned Great Sphinx.
The Sphinx is the largest and most famous of its kind, with the body of a lion and the head of a human. It was also built during the 4th Dynasty. Afterward, enjoy an included lunch before heading to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the largest museum in the world dedicated to ancient Egyptian art from various periods. Located in downtown Cairo on Tahrir Square, it was established in 1900 in a neoclassical style.
Here, you can marvel at priceless treasures, including the jewels and artifacts found in the tomb of the young Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Among the most notable items are chariots, golden coffins, and the legendary golden death mask of the pharaoh.
The day will end with a stroll through the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Situated west of the Saiyidina-el-Husain Mosque, this market was founded in the 14th century on the site of a former Mamluk cemetery, originally serving as a trading post.
Afterward, you'll return to Port Said.
