Giza Pyramids
The Pyramids of Giza are the last surviving wonders of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and one of the most iconic structures in the world. You will visit the three major pyramids of Giza: the Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure.
Queen's Pyramids
You will also explore the smaller secondary pyramids, where the queens and other royal women of the pharaohs were buried, as well as nearby labor villages, temples, and tombs.
Great Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx is an immense statue carved from the limestone of the Giza plateau, depicting a lion with a human head. Originally painted in red ochre and adorned with a beard, much of its original features have worn away with time.
Wadi Khafre Temple
Next, visit the Valley Temple, which was used to cleanse the king's mummy before burial and to perform the embalming process.
Saqqara Pyramid
We will then proceed to Saqqara, part of the necropolis of Memphis, where one of the earliest pyramids, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, is located. Built around 2650 BC by the architect Imhotep, this pyramid served as a model for later pyramids. The Step Pyramid stands 60 meters high and has a rectangular base.
After this visit, we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant.
Lunch
Enjoy a delicious Egyptian meal at a local restaurant (drinks not included), providing an opportunity to recharge before continuing your journey.
Ancient Memphis
After Saqqara, we will head to Memphis, the capital of the ancient Egyptian empire from 3100 to 2040 BC. Memphis is also the site of the coronation of all the pharaohs of the kingdom. According to tradition, it was founded by Narmer, the first pharaoh of Egypt.
In Memphis, you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II, one of Egypt’s most famous pharaohs, who ruled from 1279 to 1213 BC. This 11-meter tall statue, made of pink granite and weighing over 80 tons, was discovered in 1820 at the Great Temple of Ptah near Memphis. It was later moved to Memphis for preservation.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for the evening.
This is a private tour, where we will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo in a private car and drive you to Alexandria, a beautiful city located three hours away. Alexandria, the second most important city in Egypt, was founded by Alexander the Great in the fourth century BC and became one of the most significant cultural and commercial centers of the ancient world.
Upon arrival in Alexandria in the morning, we will start our tour with the following visits:
Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa
The catacombs in Kom El Shoqafa date back to the Roman era and consist of three levels. The decorations found within these catacombs uniquely blend Egyptian and Roman influences, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region's history.
Roman Theater
Next, we will visit the Roman Theater in Alexandria, located behind the Street of Facades. Built by the Nabataeans at the beginning of the first century AD, the Romans later expanded and improved it after annexing the kingdom in 106 AD. The theater could hold up to 3,000 people.
Alexandria Library
We will then visit the new Alexandria Library, a modern architectural marvel whose design is inspired by the god Amun-Ra and the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. The library features several libraries, a planetarium, three museums, a laboratory, and a printing press. (Note: The library is closed on Fridays and Saturdays, and during these days, it can only be viewed from the outside.)
Abu al-Abbas Mosque
You will also see the beautiful Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque, an architectural gem built between 1929 and 1945, influenced by the ancient Egyptian buildings of Cairo.
Lunch
After the morning visits, we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean. Enjoy a variety of Egyptian dishes, including meat dishes, rice, and salads (drinks not included).
Qaitbay Citadel
In the afternoon, we will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. This defensive fortress was constructed in 1480 by Sultan Qaitbay and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Alexandria.
After the tour, we will take you back to your hotel in Cairo.
In the morning, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to start your exciting journey. Your day will include visits to the following incredible historical sites:
The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities
Your first stop is the Egyptian Museum, home to a vast collection of artifacts from the Pharaonic era. The museum houses over 25,000 pieces, showcasing 5,000 years of Egyptian art. Among the most notable exhibits is the treasure of Tutankhamun, which includes his furniture and jewelry, untouched for more than 3,500 years until Howard Carter's discovery in 1922.
Babylon Castle
Next, you will visit the Babylon Castle, a historical site whose foundation dates back to ancient times, possibly over 2,000 years ago. The castle walls are reinforced by Roman emperors, with walls that are 3 meters thick, and towers that rise 10 meters high and span 31 meters in diameter.
The Hanging Church
The Hanging Church is one of the most famous Coptic churches in Cairo. Its name comes from its position, built above one of the gates of the Roman Babylon Fortress. The wooden dome of the church is designed to resemble Noah's Ark, reflecting themes from the Old Testament.
Abu Serga Church
Your next visit is to Abu Serga Church, the oldest church in Egypt, dating back to the 5th century. It is believed to have been built on the site where the Holy Family sought refuge during their time in Egypt. The church is dedicated to Saints Sergius and Bacchus, whose remains are housed here.
St. Barbara's Church
This church, originally dedicated to Saints Cyrus and John, later became dedicated to Saint Barbara in the 13th century. The church is famous for housing some of the oldest and rarest icons of Coptic art, making it an important site for Coptic Christians.
Ben Ezra Synagogue
The Ben Ezra Synagogue was originally a church but was sold to the Jewish community in the 9th century to help pay taxes. It is now known for its historical significance and its connection to the Jewish community in Cairo.
Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque
The Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, the oldest mosque in Africa, was established in 642 AD. Located in Fustat (the first capital of Islamic Egypt), it is a key site for understanding the early spread of Islam in the region.
Lunch
After the morning visits, we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional Egyptian cuisine (drinks not included).
Khan El Khalili Bazaar

FAQs
Yes, Egypt is generally safe for travelers, but like any destination, it’s important to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure a smooth trip. Here are some factors to consider:
-
Tourist Areas: Popular tourist destinations like Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Sharm El Sheikh, and Hurghada are generally safe, with a significant security presence around major landmarks and tourist attractions. Tourists visiting these areas typically report a positive experience.
-
Local Customs and Culture: Egypt is a predominantly Muslim country, so it’s important to respect local customs, especially when it comes to dress codes and behavior. While the major tourist areas are accustomed to international visitors, being respectful of cultural norms is always appreciated.
-
Political Situation: Egypt has experienced political instability in the past, but the situation has stabilized in recent years, especially in the main tourist regions. It’s always a good idea to check the latest travel advisories from reliable sources such as government websites before your trip.
-
Health and Safety: Ensure you have travel insurance that covers health issues and emergencies. Tap water in Egypt is not recommended for drinking, so it’s best to stick to bottled water. Take necessary precautions for sun exposure and avoid traveling in extreme heat without proper hydration.
-
Transport Safety: While taxis and ride-hailing apps like Uber are widely available in major cities, make sure to use licensed services. If you plan on traveling outside urban areas, consider using private tours or reputable transportation options.
-
Crime: While petty crime like pickpocketing can occur, especially in crowded places like markets or busy tourist spots, violent crime against tourists is rare. Staying vigilant with your belongings will help prevent any issues.
