Overnight Aswan and Abu Simbel tour from Marsa Alam

Upon arriving in Aswan, your first stop will be the High Dam, which was constructed in 1960 to protect Egypt from the annual floods. Next, your journey will take you to the Unfinished Obelisk, where you can marvel at the grandeur of the Pharaohs and observe how they carved obelisks. There are two interesting stories surrounding the construction of this obelisk. Finally, you will enjoy a delicious lunch in Aswan before heading back to Marsa Alam.

Aswan / Abu Simbel / Marsa Alam

We will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan at 4:00 AM and drive you to Abu Simbel, where you'll visit two magnificent temples: the Temple of Queen Nefertari and the Temple of Ramses II, both built during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II. These impressive temples were carved from living rock during his rule. The Great Temple of Abu Simbel, dedicated to Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, took about twenty years to complete. The Small Temple, also known as the Temple of Hathor and Nefertari, was dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Ramses II’s wife, Nefertari, and is believed to be the only temple in Egypt built in honor of a queen. Afterward, you'll enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Aswan, and our guide will then take you back to Marsa Alam.
