Egyptian Museum of Antiquities

Your journey will begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of ancient artifacts. The museum displays over 25,000 pieces from Egypt's 5,000-year history, including the treasures of Tutankhamun—furniture, jewelry, and other priceless items found in his tomb. Marvel at the exquisite artifacts that tell the story of ancient Egyptian civilization, including statues, mummies, and other relics from the Pharaonic era.

Cairo Citadel

Next, we will head to Cairo Citadel (Saladin Citadel), a historical Islamic fortress founded in 1176, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Cairo. Explore the ancient military site, including the Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali, an architectural marvel that symbolizes Egypt’s Islamic heritage. While parts of the citadel are still in use by the military, the fortifications and historical sites are open to the public.

After this, we will enjoy a break for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample traditional Egyptian cuisine (drinks not included).

Coptic Cairo

After lunch, we will take you to Coptic Cairo, an area rich in Christian history. Visit the Hanging Church, one of the most famous Coptic churches in Cairo, built above the Roman fortress gate. Explore Ben Ezra Synagogue, St. Barbara Church, and Abu Serga Church, which are all significant religious landmarks showcasing Cairo's early Christian roots.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

The tour will conclude with a visit to the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a bustling market that dates back to the 14th century. It’s a vibrant hub filled with shops selling everything from spices and perfumes to jewelry and textiles. Wander the maze of alleys and pick up unique local handicrafts as souvenirs.

After an enriching day, we will return you to your hotel, where you can reflect on the many treasures of Cairo’s history that you’ve experienced.
