In the morning, a tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your exciting tour, which includes the following:
Giza Pyramids
The Pyramids of Giza are the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World and are among the most iconic structures globally. The three major pyramids at Giza are the Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Mykerinus.
Queen Pyramids
In addition to the main pyramids, you will visit smaller secondary pyramids, where the wives of the pharaohs were buried, as well as ancient labor villages, temples, and tombs.
Great Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx is a colossal Egyptian statue, carved from the Giza plateau’s limestone. It depicts a reclining lion with a human head, originally painted red ochre and adorned with a chin beard, though much of this has eroded over time.
The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities
Next, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of over 5,000 years of Egyptian art. This museum houses more than 25,000 artifacts, including the famed treasure of Tutankhamun—furniture, jewelry, and other items that were kept in the tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.
Lunch
After your museum visit, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you’ll enjoy traditional Egyptian cuisine (drinks not included).
Khan El Khalili Bazaar
Next, explore the vibrant and bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s famous market. It’s a lively spot, always filled with both tourists and locals. You’ll have the chance to shop for a variety of local handicrafts and souvenirs.
After the tour, we will return you to your hotel.
Prepare for a full day of sightseeing in Aswan, where you’ll visit the impressive High Dam and the stunning Philae Temple. After your exploration, you’ll return to your Nile Cruise where lunch and dinner will be provided, and you’ll spend the night on board.
Aswan High Dam
The Aswan High Dam is an enormous engineering marvel, completed in 1970. It was built to protect Egypt from the annual floods of the Nile River, the longest river in the world.
Philae Temple
Next, you will visit the island of Philae, located between the old and new Aswan Dams, to see the Temple of Philae. This beautiful temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis and is a significant site connected to the myth of Isis, Osiris, and Horus.
Prepare for a full day of sightseeing in Aswan, where you'll visit two of its most famous attractions. First, you'll explore:
Aswan High Dam
The Aswan High Dam, completed in 1970, is a monumental engineering achievement. It was constructed to control the annual flooding of the Nile River, which was a major problem for Egypt for centuries. The dam also provides water for irrigation and hydroelectric power, making it crucial to Egypt’s economy and development.
Philae Temple
Next, you’ll visit the beautiful Temple of Philae, located on an island between the old and new Aswan Dams. This temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, is one of the most iconic sites in Egypt. It is part of the mythological tales surrounding Isis, Osiris, and Horus, and its stunning architecture makes it a must-see in Aswan.
After these exciting visits, you’ll return to your Nile Cruise, where lunch and dinner will be provided, and you'll spend the night on board.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast on board as you take in the beauty of the Kom Ombo Temple, then sail to Edfu to explore the impressive Temple of Horus. Dinner will be served on board, and you will have a comfortable place to sleep for the night.
Kom Ombo Temple
Situated on the banks of the Nile, the Temple of Kom Ombo dates back to the Ptolemaic period. It is a unique double temple, dedicated to both the falcon god Horus and the crocodile god Sobek. This temple is one of the most significant sanctuaries from the Pharaonic era, with Sobek believed to be the god of the Nile and the creator of the world.
Edfu Temple
The Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus, is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. It remained buried beneath the sand for centuries until its rediscovery by French archaeologist Auguste Mariette in the mid-19th century. After Karnak, Edfu is considered one of the most impressive temples in Egypt.
In the morning, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your Nile cruise in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your exciting tour of Egypt's ancient wonders.
Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings is home to the extraordinary tombs of ancient pharaohs. Carved into the desert rocks, these tombs are richly decorated and filled with treasures meant for the afterlife of the kings. You will visit three tombs, each showcasing incredible artistry and historical significance.
Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, a magnificent structure dedicated to Egypt's only female pharaoh. The temple rises dramatically from the desert plain in a series of terraces, blending seamlessly with the surrounding limestone cliffs.
Colossi of Memnon
Finally, you’ll see the Colossi of Memnon, two towering stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These colossal statues were built to protect his funerary temple and are among the most iconic monuments of ancient Egypt.
In the morning, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your Nile cruise in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your incredible tour of the beautiful city of Luxor. Your day will start with a visit to:
Karnak Temple
Karnak Temple is the largest religious complex in the world, with ruins that date back to the 21st Dynasty (around the 11th century BC). It is a site rich in history, containing monuments and structures from nearly 3,000 years of Egyptian history, spanning from the Middle Kingdom to the Ptolemaic Period. The temple is an awe-inspiring testament to ancient Egyptian architecture and religious practices.
Luxor Temple
Next, you'll explore the Luxor Temple, originally built by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II. This majestic temple is unique in that it houses monuments from various periods of Egyptian history, including Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic, and Islamic structures. It stands as a remarkable symbol of the evolution of Egyptian culture and religion over the centuries.
